Extension: 2025 Spring Adult Season
We are extending our spring season by a few weeks (until end of June). Some of our classes need 1-2 subs (dates vary) and we are offering the drop-in classes below. You can register and pay ($40/class) below. The classes are organized by day (i.e. Monday), date (i.e. June 10), time (i.e. 8 am) and level (i.e. beginner, advanced beginner, intermediate, advanced). You can sign up for as many drop-in classes as you like (you'll need to make separate transactions, unfortunately). Here is more information about our spring season:
About adult lessons: We are offering tennis lessons for beginners, advanced beginners, intermediate and advanced players. Our beginner classes will help new players learn the basics of the game including forehand, backhand, volley, and serve. Our advanced beginner classes will cover proper stroke technique, footwork, positioning and game strategy. For our intermediate classes, we'll focus on refining key strokes and help players improve their consistency, control, directional control, depth and variety. For our advanced classes (4.0/4.5+), we'll customize our class and work on players' specific goals which might include developing depth and variety of shots, being more aggressive at the net, court coverage, footwork and strategy. For all of our classes, we will have a max of 4 players to a court.
-About cardio tennis: Taught by Coach Delmas, these classes bring together a variety of cardio workouts, tennis drills, and games. A typical class involves warm up drills, catching/tossing skills and light hitting, followed by a variety of games and a cool down.
-Coaches: Our spring program will be taught by coaches Danielle Faucher, Alex Alterman, Syd Butler, Forrest Bankston, Iliya Taranin, Amy Georgescu and Delmas Ntcha. Check out their bios here.
-Price: $40/class
-Make-ups: If we have to cancel a class due to weather, the coaches will work with each class to schedule a make up class or we will refund the class. If you need to cancel due to a personal reason, we will provide a google sheet where players can note their absence and players can sign up for a slot.
-Where: Lafayette-Pointer Park Tennis courts (Courts 1 and 2). Please note these are outdoor courts.
-Tennis gear: If you need to buy any gear, we have a relationship with Tennis Zone (4839 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, WDC) where you can get 10% off (mention LTA).
